Choose an ordinary moment
A tea ritual can be as small as choosing one moment in the day and giving it your attention. Perhaps it is the pause after clearing your desk, the interval between afternoon tasks or a few minutes beside an open window. It does not need to happen at the same time every day.
Choose a cup you enjoy holding and clear just enough space to set it down. The aim is simply to make the moment feel considered. No perfect room, elaborate routine or special equipment is required.
Let the preparation be part of it
Measure approximately 2 g of Kindleaf with a dry spoon. Pour over 150–200 ml of water cooled to 85–90°C, cover and steep for 4–5 minutes. Set a timer so you can give those minutes to something other than watching the clock.
You might put your phone aside, look out of the window or simply notice the changing aroma. Strain the tea when it is ready and let it reach a comfortable drinking temperature. Taste it plain first, then add a little honey or lemon if that is how you enjoy your cup.
Close the pack with care
Good storage begins while you are making tea. Use a clean, dry spoon every time, and close the pack after measuring your serving. Keep the blend in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. A cupboard away from the heat and steam of cooking is a practical choice.
If you transfer the tea to a suitable container, make sure it is clean and completely dry. Keep the original pack or its details so you can still check the ingredient list and best-before information.
Keep a simple opening note
Kindleaf recommends using the blend within three months of opening. Write the opening date on the pack or a small label to make that easy to remember. The package best-before is 12 months from manufacturing; check your own pack for its printed details and plan your use within that period too.
At approximately 2 g per cup, a 50 g pack offers around 25 cups to make part of your day. Put the tea back in its place, rinse your cup when you are finished and leave the next small ritual ready to begin.
